The Medica Provider College offers training opportunities for clinical staff throughout the Medica service area for mid-level nurses and physicians to help develop and implement our disease management and quality programs. Some of these sessions are eligible for CEU and CME credits.

Walking in Their Shoes

Enhancing Authentic Practitioner-Patient Communication

Medica developed the Walking in Their Shoes training programs to be used as tools for improving the quality of your patient-caregiver interactions. These programs are designed to improve communication skills across cultures and across all levels of health literacy.

Medica continues to add secure Electronic Transactions on medica.com. To stay on top of news about the latest transaction capabilities available online, subscribe to Medica Connections, the monthly provider publication from Medica.

Process Improvement Teams

The focus of each team is education, information sharing and improving shared processes related to accurate, timely claims payment, thereby improving cash flow for the provider and reducing rework for both organizations. If you are interested in forming a process improvement team with Medica, please contact the Medica Provider Service Manager at 952-992-3472.
