Network Management ensures the needs of Medica's market business segments and the clinical initiatives developed by Health Services are met through mutually beneficial contractual arrangements with our network providers. Specific activities include:
- Network Development (new providers).
- Coordination of provider contracting to product development.
- Competitive (discount) financial arrangements with providers.
For contract issues and questions, providers may contact their contract manager directly (see below for responsibilities). For all other issues, providers should contact the Provider Service Center at (800) 458-5512.
The contract manager is the primary contact regarding contract issues, and has responsibility for our contractual relationships with participating providers. Contact your contract manager for:
- Contractual questions.
- Contract implementation issues.
- Contract terms and interpretations.
- Medica organizational questions and issues.
- General Medica policy and procedure questions.
- New contracting options.
If you are interested in becoming a Medica provider and have not yet been assigned a contract manager, please contact the Network Management department at: netmanquest@medica.com.
- Provider Contracting: Primarily responsible for negotiating and executing all provider contracts, as well as ensuring that all contracts are implemented correctly. Each manager has full responsibility for the financial and operational performance of each contract.
- Administration: Supports the contracting process by providing technical expertise throughout the provider contracting lifecycle.
- Analytics: Supports the contracting process by developing reimbursement models and provider reporting tools and ensures that contracts are implemented properly.
